01 / Company profile

A global partner.
Close to the work.

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Boston, CIC connects students, educators, families and schools through international education, curriculum support and educational exchange.

Since2009

Working across cultures, curricula and school communities.

Education with a global purpose.

CIC designs its educational programs around global citizenship: understanding other cultures, taking responsibility within a community and developing the confidence to learn across borders. Its work brings Chinese and American approaches together while responding to the needs of each local school.

A network beyond individual campuses.

CIC’s education network includes more than 280 schools across 40 U.S. states and more than 30 schools in China. This wider network supports school cooperation, leadership and teacher development, student exchange and international university preparation. The five U.S. schools featured on this website are a selected partner-school group, not the full network.

From planning to everyday delivery.

School cooperation includes curriculum integration, implementation and management, teacher support, college counseling and academic exchange. These activities connect the initial partnership plan with the classroom, school operations and students’ next steps.

02 / Why CIC

Global resources.
A close partnership.

General education, personalized learning and holistic development come together through curriculum, educators and sustained student support.

01

The whole learner

A broad knowledge foundation, instruction responsive to individual strengths and opportunities for personal development support students as both learners and community members.

02

U.S.-based expertise

Boston-based educational resources and advisers with experience in international education help connect local learning with U.S. school systems and university preparation.

03

Curriculum with a bridge

U.S. high school subjects and teaching materials are combined with CIC’s independently developed Bridge courses, supporting the transition between Chinese and American learning environments.

04

Cross-cultural educators

CIC’s 2026 teaching team includes more than 100 international educators across campuses. International and Chinese teachers contribute subject expertise and different classroom perspectives, with arrangements shaped around each participating school.

05

A supported next step

Individual college planning, academic records and teacher recommendations help students prepare applications. U.S. diploma pathways depend on the awarding school’s graduation and program requirements.

Curriculum development

An academic framework, built around the learner.

Established in 2009, CIC’s China Curriculum Development Center designs and implements its integrated curriculum. The center’s 2026 team comprises 19 members, including 10 international teaching and research professionals.

Credits

Course requirements, assessment and academic records connect study with the agreed school pathway. Students on a U.S. diploma pathway must meet the awarding school’s graduation requirements.

Subjects

English, mathematics, science, social sciences and the arts provide academic breadth. Bridge courses build academic English and help students adapt to a different learning environment.

Personal development

Inquiry, research, creativity, critical thinking, communication and leadership are developed through classroom projects and activities beyond the timetable.

Family growth

Home-school communication and college-planning information help families understand students’ progress and participate in informed educational decisions.

The CIC 6+2 system

Connected support, from enrollment to the next step.

Six core modules are supported by two supplementary components. Teaching is the central focus, academic affairs and operations support delivery, and admissions, activities and college preparation connect the wider student journey.

01 / Admissions

Student assessment and selection connect learners with an appropriate program and teaching team.

02 / Teaching

U.S. curriculum, subject teaching and Bridge courses support academic learning and the transition to English-language classrooms.

03 / Academic affairs

Coordination of teaching-related processes supports curriculum implementation and academic administration.

04 / Operations

Day-to-day school management supports the practical delivery of the education program.

05 / Extracurricular activities

Clubs, projects and community service develop teamwork, creativity, leadership and responsibility.

06 / College preparation

Guidance and individual planning connect academic choices with higher-education goals.
