U.S. partner school
A long tradition. A cross-cultural outlook.
The school
St. Mary’s School is an independent, coeducational college-preparatory school serving grades 5-12 in Medford, Oregon. Founded in 1865, it combines a long academic tradition with a learning environment designed for close teacher-student relationships.
The school’s profile extends beyond the classroom. Chinese language and cultural exchange, a Confucius Classroom established in 2008, and STEM opportunities in engineering and competitive robotics all form part of its international outlook.

Chinese language study, cultural exchange and school visits form a documented part of St. Mary’s international outlook, including its Confucius Classroom history.
The CIC connection
St. Mary’s is the named U.S. school partner in CIC’s program with Wuhan No. 2 High School. The project connects local school strengths with U.S. high school curriculum resources and cross-cultural learning.
Other St. Mary’s program connections in China include Shenzhen, Pinghu, Cixi, Beijing and Chengdu. Each local partnership defines its own curriculum, teaching and academic requirements.
