The service in practice

Make a new place part of the learning.

A short-term school experience is an opportunity to join a different learning community, practice communication and connect classroom study with everyday school life.

CIC’s St. Mary’s immersion program includes a student buddy connection, academic activities and cultural exchange. The winter camp shown below took place in 2024; future dates and arrangements are discussed for each program.

  • Student buddy connection and school-day participation
  • Science, arts and collaborative learning
  • Nature exploration and school-community activities

A St. Mary’s School experience

Join the school day. Learn beyond it.

Nature exploration

Outdoor experiences connect the local environment with observation, discovery and learning beyond the classroom.

Academic exchange

Science, arts and team activities develop practical skills and cross-disciplinary collaboration through a different school setting.

Activities & reflection
