About the program.
The Pinghu program brings together Pinghu High School’s local teaching resources and St. Mary’s American curriculum. Its community has grown to 60 students in 2026, with small classes supporting individual attention.
The program combines Chinese and U.S. academic learning with 20 regular U.S. high school courses and 10 AP courses. Curriculum study, university preparation and practical experiences support both academic development and wider student growth.

The partnership

Pinghu High School × St. Mary’s School
Founded in 1939, Pinghu High School is a well-established senior high school in Zhejiang with strong teaching resources and provincial key-school status.
The school was authorized by the national authority for foreign experts to employ international education specialists in 2001, making it one of the earliest schools in Jiaxing with that qualification. In 2015, it was named a provincial Level I characteristic model school.
Program detail
Learning across classrooms and campuses
Students participate in outdoor learning and inter-school exchange through a nationwide partner-school network. Hands-on projects and collaborative experiences develop skills beyond individual subjects.
An established connection with St. Mary’s includes two-way school visits. St. Mary’s leaders and teachers visit Pinghu, while Pinghu students and teachers travel to the U.S. school for study and exchange.
